Converting LHD headlights
« on: 18 October 2008, 21:23:51 »

Sure someone on here mentioned it before - the black LHD projector headlights, is there a way to convert them to RHD?

there certainly is a way matey, involves taking the unit apart though and putting different lenses in or something- i'll check and let you know but im not really the one to tell you im afraid

just asked the bloke that swapped mine before i bought them

"You need to strip the unit apart to get to the metal plate in the projector housing. Then simply remove the plate, reverse it, reshape as required and rebuild the unit. Simple enough but an incredible pig of a job"
hope that helps

Or replace the projector housing plate and all with one from a RHD set of lights...not that hard or fiddly that way...but yes you have to strip apart the lights and replace the LHD part for a RHD part...

The black lens units tend to be newish so the glue holding the lens on is pretty hard to get off...
