reversing lights switch

hi guys im new to this and am after a bit of help. my reversing lights aren't working. I know the switch is on the gearbox somewhere but i can not find it. If anyone could help i would be very gratefull. Many thanks PS I have a 2000 (old shape) estate) if that makes any difference.

the reversing light switch is a plunger type switch,that is screwed into the rear of transmission above and to the left of the propeller shaft :y

If it's a manual. If it's an auto, then it's part of the selector switch.
You sure it's not a fuse though?
