I had my A/C regassed in February earlier this year. However, on Thursday I noticed it wasn't blowing cold anymore. Is that normal, or likely that it has leaked?

I has the timing belt changed earlier last month, would/nt have something to do with that?

Maybe it was cheap gas?

probably got a leak. Or, hopefully not, a pump issue. The pre face lift cars give  --  two lines on the cc display if there are climate controle codes stored but im not aware of the face lift cars giveing any similar signs? You could "Try" the pedal trick for a clue but that would be a long shot, as it only reads the engine ecu.

 Anyway, usual course is to visit an ac specialist for
leak check, usually the condensor, radiator looking thing behind the front radiator, has a whole in it. About £100 in the uk and £50 for the dryer, canister thing right of the rad as you look at the front iirc.

When they re-gas your car, they normally add a fluorescent dye so they can then see any leaks with a U/V lamp. I'd take it back and let them have a look to see it hey can find any leaks - you could reasonably expect it to last a year between fill ups. Likely suspects for leaks are the condensor ('radiator' in front of main engine coolant radiator) or compressor seals - I'd have thought a 3.2 would be too new to have compressor leakss :-/)
There are a couple of pressure switches at the front left hand side of the engine bay that could possibly have been distured when your 'fan belt' was changed ... I doubt it though  :-/

check the a/c condensor i should imagine with all the sand out there it could get damaged?

Mine was the same, could not hold its gas for more than 2/3 months, turns out there was a slow leak in the condensor.

Got a mobile company to come and have a look at it today. They said it was purely down to the dust cap that was missing off the pipe that gets hot and that was the reason why gas had escaped. So I'll have to wait and see whether it is true or not.

The dust cap just prevents dust getting into the valve?

But i guess in the extreme heat there the valve could expand, but i don't see how the dust cap could keep the pressure better than the valve

Got a mobile company to come and have a look at it today. They said it was purely down to the dust cap that was missing off the pipe that gets hot and that was the reason why gas had escaped. So I'll have to wait and see whether it is true or not.

Which valve? I've just got a nice new HP valve ready to put on mine. The high pressure valve is Part No 52458177 (thanks andyc ) & lives at the front of the engine bay just behind the radiator, but from what I can see the low pressure is part & parcel of the pipe that's towards the top of the engine.
Assuming RHD is the more or less the same as LHD.  :-/

My cap's doing a better job at keeping the gas in than the valve at the moment!

I hadn't really thought about it, but I suppose you're right! Yes!
PS The above part no comes complete with a green viton 'O' ring! It means I now have a spare!

Wow looks like I got something right knowing diddly squat about Omegas! Whatever next? A 'how to' write up in the maintenance section!
