How to remove Cam sensor????
« on: 20 November 2008, 16:05:27 »

Hi all,

How does the cam sensor come off a facelift 2.0L petrol. I removed the 3 pin plug but I cannot see whats holding the sensor in place. I was told I didn't need to take the rocker cover off but do I???

Thanks

remove the top bolt in the outer cambelt cover, it is held in with a small bolt with an E8 head  :y

Fan belt off, timing belt cover off, spark plug cover off (ecotec strip).  Metal part of the sensor in between the two cam sprockets and you will see the small bolt holding it in.
