using vectra inlet manifolds/plenium thing...
« on: 21 November 2008, 21:37:36 »

has anybody tried it/know what it runs like?

without the multiram apparently the engine runs like a sack of turd.

if you can use it then can you get away with the vectra icv or have to bodge and omega one on?

thanks

Ive wondered this, as the vectra inlets sound far better than the omega IMO

Vectras just sound so angry!  ;D

so does the omega if you stick a induction kit on it! the omega sounds like the vectra just its refined and has lots of sound proofing unlike the vectra!

The plenum setup on the Vectra was apparently the best flowing design of all the varients according to the people who designed it, however, the multiram and bagpipe arrangement on the Omega is far better than the Vectra's restricted setup.

Hmm..Multirams not working correctly on the omega. But reving both my 2.5 vec and the 3.0 omega, the 2.5 sounds better BY FAR. Thats with a cone filter on them.

I suspect the veccy intake may be less responsive....as it has a single large throttle butterfly and not twin medium sized ones.

I also dont buy the 'less restrictive' commen.....just looking at it I would say thats not the case!

Its also more of a compromise to get it all to fit which I suspect is why it sounds more angry as it wont be nearly as well tuned!
