V6 oil leak
« on: 23 November 2008, 14:09:39 »

Not been on for a while as I no longer own my Omega.

A mate of mine owns a 2.6 Omega and he thinks that his oil system is over pressurising as his cam covers are leaking, is there anything obvious that he can check

Oil plug wells are most obvious, or actual leak itself.   :y

Must clean breathers must clean breathers  :D ;)

The breathers are probably blocked and should idealy be cleaned out every 12 months or so. The other reason the cam covers could be leaking is that they could have been over tightened or cheap Ebay gaskets used instead of genuine the last time they were replaced.
