Alarm on start up
« on: 05 December 2008, 11:08:10 »

Omega 3.2 Elite Estate

Intermittently when I turn the ignition on I get a high-pitched alarm for 30 seconds.  Car starts ok.

Any ideas what the alarm is.  It isn't the car alarm.

thanks,
Colin

Hi Colin and welcome.

The sounder has a battery back up and when the batteries pack up the sounder will go off. I unplugged mine, it is located under the drivers windscreen skuttle panel. You can but replacements but they are expensive and I have heard of a forum member replacing his batteries himself.
