Removing ECU to fit new chip
« on: 06 December 2008, 10:39:36 »

Hi,

Going to fit my new chip today, do I need to disconnect the battery to remove the ECU? And will I need to reset anything after? ::)

Cheers,
Iain

Probably best to to avoid any untoward shorts blowing it as you unplug...so you will need to reset window and sunroof setting and stereo codes etc...

I never do, but probably safest.

Nothing to reset ecu wise, but if you discon battery, obviously radio/cd/windows/roof all need to be reset
