Cylinder heads
« on: 15 December 2008, 13:31:52 »

Hello all, quick question...

Are the heads on the X25XE and the X30XE the same, i.e. the stroke is different, or are they completely different?

The reason I ask is because, I want to change the cams on my 2.5 to the 3.0l cams, and in my search have come across a set which the guy is trying to get me to buy the whole head as well.

I quite like the idea of having the opportunity to recon a head whilst i'm at it, and this seems like a cheap way to do it - especially as a mate lives round the corner from him and can pick them up for me!

Also, going off on a tangent, if I were to get a chip for the car after the cams had been replaced, would you still go for the x25xe chip or select the x30xe?
