4 pot sump
« on: 01 January 2009, 16:47:37 »

Hi
Does anyone know an easy way to remove the bottom part of the sump on a 2.0?

The destructions says to support the engine on a hoist and remove the subframe :o to access the bolts. There has to be an easier way? I don't want to shell out renting in engine hoist to lift the engine an inch for 5 mins ::)

you should beable to get the sump off without lifting the engine up, the most you'd need to lift it was a couple of inches on one side with just a trolley jack
