Indicators on all the time
« on: 14 December 2008, 13:25:25 »

Hi, I am having a strange problem the right hand indicator on my 2000 2.2 Omega is on all the time. I have checked everything i can find. I have disconnected everything like indicator relay, control switch, anti theft system but the light is still on.
Can anyone tell me if they have had this problem or know where All the relays are located? I want to know where is relay K46 as listed in the Haynes manual wiring diagram.
Thanks

Press the hazard warning switch a few times.

most indicator problems are due to the hazard switch, as Elite Pete suggested :y

Thanks guys - i have tryed operating the hazard switch and even removing it - neither turn the indicator off - i am sure it has something to do with the alarm circuit - i have even disconnected the locking control unit as this is also connected to the indicator circuit.

I think there's a relay behind the glove box that's used to flash the indicators when the central locking activates. Was a couple of years ago since mine went. My one broke inside and failed on.

I seem to think it was a grey one..

Thanks - it was the relay behind the glovebos. A part had snapped off inside it and shorted it out.
