i think the electric plug is on the outside of the tank u just disconect unsrew the big ring and pull the hole lot out

Its the petrol fuel pumps that scare me!

The motors are cooled by petrol running THROUGH them  :o

And the motors are not the brushless type either, so surley they must be sparking like a mofo inside?? :-? ::)

i would also check the tank breather system had same prop on an old car this sorted it out good luck
