Brake Lights have gone on holiday.

Can anyone help. MY brake lights aren't working. Have checked fuses - all ok. Is there a switch on the brake pedal itself or should i be looking for a relay fault. HELP!!!!

Yes, just above the pedal.

Does the mid change from 'brakelight check' or does it stay on permanently - if it clears it may indicate an intermittent fault.

checked brake pedal switch. seems to be ok. no feed getting to rear as have had lights off. is there a relay or is it straight from switch to lamps.

Circuit goes through check control uses black with yellow tracer wireing

on removing the plug to the pedal switch there is 4 connections 2 have power 2 are earth, i take it the switch cuts off the connection ?

Just incase anyone else has this head scratching problem in the future.
The cause of the failure was the passenger side bulb partially blown causing the total failure of the brake lights. No blown fuse and also no fault on the display. It took removing all bulbs,fittings also fuses and pedal switch then battery out/in to reset this fault. Now everything is ok.
Hope this helps anyone in the future.

I HAVE LIGHTS AGAIN.!!!! :D :D :D
