traction control?
« on: 12 January 2009, 22:42:34 »

was wondering if there was anyway of disabling the traction control on my 2.5v6 omega, i have had quite a few rwds over the years and never had traction control on them, only in these last few weeks of frost here in Northern Ireland have i found it annoying when you pull out of somewhere and give the car a blip of throttle to have a little bit of fun and in steps the tc to spoil it. Dont get me wrong im not a boy racer hooligan or the like, i just would rather have no tc. I know that some of the ex police cars from here have it removed from them, but apart from probably some guys having cut thir looms etc can it be fixed that you dont have it?

Yep - TC is on by default - you have to manually switch it off with the TC switch!

Thanks everyone,  found that out today , managed to get my hands on a manual as there was none with my car when i bought it, just service history. page 107 in manual says that the switch cancels the traction control for times when you need to slip a bit like with snow chain fitted etc

you can always read the manual here .....

ok .. its a fairly late one but 90% of it applies to most cars .. :)
