Gearbox Code 48

Hi Guys

Just had my gearbox read and it came up with a code 48

Any Ideas

Thanks for the quick response, it appears to be the Alternator is there a easy way to check the output

48 = Low Battery Voltage :y

Having been in this car today, I'd say there is more than just a low voltage issue with this gearbox. The fault code was historic rather than current.

The amount of slip and way the gearbox was randomly thumping into gear sounded/felt quite terminal to me.

Being a 2.5 TD, AR25 box with 150k on the clock, I'd say the chances of this box being toast are pretty high!  :'(

With this extra info, tend to agree with you James. AR35 would be the best bet 8-)

Looks like a new gear box it is then, just posted a wanted ad. James thank you so much for you help today
