Timing belt manufacturers
« on: 06 February 2009, 00:14:50 »

This has probably been covered before so my apologies if it has.
Pricing up a replacement timing belt kit and water pump for my X20XEV .
I wanted a genuine GM kit ( last one was part number 93174261 )
and priced one from Astra Warehouse on E bay @£68 and £25 respectivly but they want £27 to post over to Ireland.  ;D
I see other manufacturers and want to know the concentious of opinion as to the quality of them and any recommendations for an alternative supplier.

SKF kits are good too. Have had a few V6 ones and they contain Gates belts.

I've used Contitech - OEM manufacturer and kit supplied with SKF bearings throughout.
