LPG Gas testing...
« on: 13 February 2009, 13:19:56 »

Hi Peeps,

Not been on here in a while as car been ok and i've had loads of other things on.  I managed to repair my heated driver seat the other week and all ok now - thanks to a few posts i read on OOF.  Just got clutch to replace and cam seals to do again.

I need to get my LPGA cert as my LPG kit supplier didn't provide one when i installed the LPGkit.  He said the system was a first class install but he couldn't realease the certificate as i didn't have HC and CO2 readings for him.  These readings are needed for the cert.

Does anyone know where i can take my car for this kind of gas test?  I did take it to a local MOT centre and they thought i was going mad and didn't want to get involved in non-MOT gas testing.

I live in Derby but work in Nottm.

Cheers
Marc

what system have you fitted? i'm thinking of putting a single point system on mine(its from a now dead range rover) can it be done? have you ever heard of it bieng done?

as for your question i suppose any mot station could give you the reading if you bung em a few quid, you'd be best off asking exactly what the cert needs, i.e a printout and a confirmation on headed paper from a mot station should be sufficient i would assume!
