Hope someone can help me out! My 3.2 Elite sits very low and the mudflaps always bottom out on small bumps or if mounting even low kerbs. The compressor is definitely working for the self levelling suspension but it seems as if the suspension is always at its lowest. Any suggestions?

Does the compressor cut off ok, does the car rise at all when the igniton is turned on.

Would check for a lose pipe or fitting to the shocks etc.  If all looks ok then check the rear springs also.  I know on the older models the coil springs some times break therefore could be the reason for low ride hide.

Also ...... are the air lines connected properly & not damaged?

probably not working or just set too low. Open the boot and sit on the bumper/boot edge with the your feet on the floor, engine running. You should feel the car slowly rise to the new hight needed with the extra weight. If it moves but the ride hight is still to low then the hight needs re setting. If it dont move, either the previous owner has fitted standard shocks, the originals are buggerd or the airs not getting through. New s/l shocks are 150 a pair with a trade club card, so lets hope its an air supply or ride hight issue.

 If you want, you can manually move the sl ride hight by removing the tie rod arm from the control box and manually move the arm up, the car should rise to a silly hight. The box is located by the fuel filter by the dif drivers side. Just lever the plastic rose joint off with a flat blade screw driver and move the arm up fully. This is a good time to listen for air leaks, but if you do it with engine off it can flatten the battery.

Correct! But remeber that theres a delay in the car pumping itself up. It may take upto 30 seconds before it turns the compressor on!
