Tyres
« on: 20 February 2009, 20:53:56 »

Hi, am in need of a new tyre. Typing my reg into Kwik-fit, they tell me I need 195/65/15 but my tyres state 225/55/16.

I presume the tyres on my car are not the standard ones, but as the radial is 16 the stated tyres would not fit anyway?

You're making the mistake of taking notice of Kwick-Fit.
As asked, what's the age & model of the car?

Sorry, 51 reg 2.2 auto CD.

All websites are saying the smaller size, but I will certainly replace the same what comes off as I don't want to buy 5 new tyres - unless there are any benefits?

What do you wheels look like? They'll all be 16" and you'd not be able to the 15" that Kwick-Fit etc want to sell you even if you wanted to.  :y

Sounds like a set of after market or different spec wheels have been fitted in place of the standard ones.
