you need to remove the  plastic trim panels over the slam panel,

Did that..albeit in 2 halves

the clamp is towards the right hand side ( as you stand in front of the car)

That's the bit I assumed would be there but couldn't find....will have another look tomorrow.

On the right of the slam panel remove the right hand Rad. cover panel and you'll see the screw holding the cable tight.

  Loosen the screw and take up the slack in the cable a bit at a time until you can open the bonnet ok.

Spent ages today trying to figure out the adjustment....couldn't see a screw...

Figured out removing the cover panel (2 x screws with 8mm heads) but couldn't see any way of adjusting the cable....

Slacken the screw that holds the cable outer sleeve, slide the outer sleeve to the right & re-clamp the outer sleeve.

Couldn't find it...will have another look tomorrow....
