i think the gear change problem is due to it being starved of diesel cause when i feather the trottle it ok that wot makes me think injector pump i tried the water test and i put a nearly new battrey in it after the alarm killed the first one no difference help please  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Two points here Rich:
1st - what's the amount of fuel in the tank when the hot-start problem occurs?
2nd - What's the output from the alternator?

when full i put a new in tank pump in her i dont know about the altonatior but the battrey is allways charged . richy

i pulled the MAF out this morning it made no difference so i took of the pipe leading to it . its got a lot of oil in it would that wreck the maf and make it run bad ???
