Tried again late yesterday, still not managed to get them off no matter how hard i try, used shed loads of wd40 and although i manged to loosen the clips of 2 of them the bloody pipes would not budge. In my frustration whilst stomping around i stood on my scuttle thingy and snapped a corner of it  >:(. With a bit of luck i can get those 2 off but how i the hell i can get the one from the passenger side off beats me. I am ok to go disconnecting other pipes etc in that area so i can get better access as long as i remember where they go?
Shall wait until the skin has grown back on my knuckles until i try again.  :(

thanks
Steve

If its any consolation, many of us have been there before contributing to the swear box..

I use small mole grips for ease of access.

Might be easier if you do it when the engine is warm.  You can unclip it from the bracket which makes things easier once you have removed the pipes on the drivers side - it moves around quite a bit.
