rear view mirror rattle

Auto dipping type it's rattling and really getting on my nerves, can it be tightened and how does the bugger come off? Cheers

In my experience, if the Omega mirrors vibrate, its normally rear wheel balancing.  If you bring the sun visors down, do they vibrate as well?

There is nothing to tighten in these mirrors unless the metal to plastic mounting has come away (easily checked when mirror removed)
