misfire, sligt power drop
« on: 29 April 2009, 23:00:30 »

I see there are some postings about misfire.
I am not completely sure that it does have a misfire, but it feels like it hesitates on full accelration, and it feels a litle jumpy on less than 3000rpm.
I have new cam cover, breathers cleaned, new plugs and leads...
I thought the 2.0l should be stronger than this...
How can i check if the ignition on the plugs are good enough?

have a look through the maintenance guides, you should find something about cleaning the throttle body and breathers. Suggest doing this before the agro and expense of changing the dis pac which, if you have changed the plugs and leads, is the only real remaining cause of a miss fire. But from what you said it looks like you need to eliminate any rough running issues first. Also try the paper clip test for any fault codes.

I would also get some further opinions on here if poss. Being a v6 owner i am not overly familiar with the 4pot. See how you go. :-)
