Ok come on you smart ones. How the hell do you remove the oil cooler pipes with the engine in situe. Following my pipe fracture I have located another set, removed the oil cannister and disconnected all the unions.

However, I am still unable to remove the pipes to enable me to change them. Is there a technique in taking them out or is it just a case of removing the coil pack and bracket and the down pipe. Ive already removed the downpipe but given up due to poor light.

Any tips would be appreciated  :-/

Never done it (yet)but I know that you need a crowsfoot spanner.

Crows foot spanners!

Do not bend the pipes!

Take the clip off that hold the two together. Its below the dis pack and then twist/wiggle pull them out from the bottom(couldnt get them out from top) fiddly but doable with a little patiance.

U dont really need a crows foot a goot short size 19mm spanner and the filter removed and your in there.

So theres a clip holding the two pipes together. That would explain why they both moved each time I moved one pipe. Did you have to remove the downpipe to get them out??

No i also still had the dis pack on so it can be done. The clip that joins them together was a pain to remove and refit though(probably easier with the dis and bracket removed).

Well Ive removed the downpipe anyway, but I think I will remove the dis pack anyway to give more room
