Sorry for a bit of a thread jack but if you have a pre facelift car without steering wheel controls is it just a job of changing the wheels or do you need to fit additional loom?

I'm not sure if it's just a case of fitting that part of the loom needed but will have to upgrade the head unit for it to work in any case :).

I've just been looking on German ebay and theres a couple of pre-facelift ones going for between 99 & 149 euros :y.

links?
I can see an ally wheel that doesn't seem to have radio controls and a wooden Sintra wheel.  :-/

Sorry Andy, got distracted, try these:

Thanks Peter, unfortunately they're both without radio controls.  :(

Andy, in the picture you included in your earlier post of the Vectra B wheel that you say doesn't have radio controls, aren't the bolt holes there for fitting them and don't the Omega wheels have them?

I would think the squib is different too (slip ring thing for horn & airbag wiring)  :-/

I'm going to change my early 96 non-adjustable column for the later adjustable type which does have the wheel with the radio controls but don't know if as Doz says it's possible to add the loom needed to make it work and again as i said in reply to his post would have to upgrade the head unit too :(.
