Leaking ac evaporator and or expansion valve?
« on: 07 June 2009, 09:34:19 »

It appears that i have a leak in either the evaporator and or the expansion valve and its connections. I have the items out of the car now and will pressure test the evaporator today. Is it a common fault for the evaporator to become holed and has anybody else had this problem? Is it also good practice to replace the expansion valve at this opportunity? The  valve looks very solid and i am not sure where a fault could occur.

Don't hear many problems with the evaporator but we have heard of the odd expansion valve failing so might be prudent to replace it as it's not exactly easy to get to.
