Auto gearbox slow to pick up
« on: 10 June 2009, 18:27:49 »

My Omega has been sitting on my drive without moving for 18 months but started first time. Garage transported it and checked it over for MOT etc. Everything fine except that in Drive the gear box works very slowly through the gears. It's fine when you get speed up and it will start normally if you work througn 1, 2 etc. Is it the selector switch? Am I doing it any more harm by manually slecting the low gears to get moving? Thanks. :-/

Check the fluid level or change fluid and filter, there's a guide for it, usually solves most problems.

With what you say it seems the selector switch is working as it should.
