oil filler 'O' Ring
« on: 15 June 2009, 16:40:56 »

Small amount of Oil down the left hand side of the engine.
Checking shows the cam cover gasket is ok, the oil is comming from the oil filler joint, got it apart and found the 'O' ring was broken.
have a spare purchased from vauxhall along time ago but this is round in section, the broken one is square.
When I fit the replacement the filler neck is loose.
What shape should the 'O' ring be and does anyone know the part number?
Thanks

Square on sits in cap and seals on top of oil filler extension.  Round one sits further down on cap sealing on bore of oil filler extension with further round one on bottom of oil filler extension!  Replacing the round ones stopped what I thought was a leaking passenger side cam cover on Estate!!
