Why is everybody saying to get genuine sensor?
Whats the difference between genuine and replacement sensor if it is excatly for Mig?

Not always the case, but have seen many times a pattern sensor not fix problems, fail early, cause other issues.

There are of course ones out there that will be fine, just not always a safe bet, sometimes price makes them the only option, but when only a small difference like most of them, we have seen far too often people having to buy cheap, then the original, and fight for a refund.

few pattern items known to be problematic, to more than 1-2 users:
HBV
Streering Idler
drop links
crank sensors
brake disks
hid bulbs
lambda sensors
brake light bulbs

of course not a definitive list (just a few I can recall off the top of my head) , and there are plenty of people out there who have some of these working perfectly.  And also some people with genuine items have had problems too.

for the reason I can only think of a few 2.2 cam sensor issues, and don't remember anyone trying / failing with a 3rd party sensor.

Used to pay a bit of attention to em, as we had a 2.2.

That doesnt mean they are fine, just I can't recall an issue.

Called the shop here, didn't ask is it original or replacement but the price was around 40 pounds

not a huge difference.

If it was me, and £10-15 difference, I would go for the genuine.

I dont know what you would have to pay for that though, given your location, or the availability of genuine parts

Actually there is no problem with parts here cause if it's not available immediatelly it comes within a day or two directly from Germany

So i assumed you wanted to know the difference between the 2 price wise

Iain it is possible to find some universal type sensors, actually they seel them as a part for your car, and actually it doesnt fit like it should.
But what I wanted to know was is there any good reason why not to buy the replacement part, except quality of course.

Well if you buy a Genuine GM part,you know its going to fit and work properly

be awaire of cheep alternatives on your cam sensor
i ordered one from E-Bay for my 2.2  CD Auto did not make any differance in fact made my car worse.
