Spigot bearings
« on: 16 July 2009, 22:23:14 »

Is the spigot bearing in the end of the crankshaft of the 2.5td different to the v6 motors
The reason I ask this is ive stripped a 2.5 td manual to put in to my 2.5td automatic tomorrow ive been looking at Matchless’s guide wich I believe features a v6 type omega  and my spigot bearing is way difrent it’s a caged ball bearing race weras the one on matchless’s  guide looks to be a needle type of bearing much smaller …I just don’t want to take my gearbox off tomorrow and it be different again …does anyone know ?
