Will facelift headlights fit a mini-facelift Omega
« on: 01 August 2009, 12:55:43 »

As above

Local breakers has a facelift Omega with HIDs and I'm considering getting them as spares for my '98 MV6.

Don't want to buy them if they won't fit though  ::)

Anyone know?

I seem to remember they are different. The prefacelifts headlights are slightly more rounded and the facelifts a little more pointy where they meet the bonnet and grill area.

I have a pair of mini facelift HID's here mate :y

As said the inside lower corner is pointed rather than curved so will not fit (unless maybe you file the sharp corner off?  ;D)

How much ya after for them?  I'm only after them as spares cos you know what'd happen if I ever needed one in a hurry!!!  (also, our local breakers are pretty clueless and they'd have no idea that some Omegas had HIDs so they'd price them as std lights  ;))

Surely it'd be better to file a bit off the grill, no?  :D :D :D
