KNOCKING SOUND FROM THE STEERING WHEEL

Hi all today my car started making a knocking sounds when i move the wheel.If i have my steering wheel stright and move it to the left it knocks badly does anyone no what this could be

found out what it is its the steering idler

Just read this thread.
are you sure it is the idler and not any loose parts on the stearing?
