Temp.guage reading too high!!
« on: 25 August 2009, 18:39:00 »

I have Omega Elite 3.0 1999"T",when in traffic or at low speed temp.guage reads about 100,then with increased speed returns to around 95! Is this normal?I know the heads have been skimmed and radiator replaced. There is no water-loss or oil in water/water in oil as far as I can tell.Any comments?Thanks.Rew.

95 while moving is normal and I suppose it is possible to reach 100 when stationary or going slowly, although you should expect the fan to kick in before then. In the recent hot weather, air con on max, and in slow traffic, I noticed my temp get to 98. Soon dropped when I got moving though.

To do: Replace brake discs and pads; adjust already replaced shoes; check for leaks in oil cooler, cambelt area, crank seals, sump, dipstick; replace osf door; replace a tyre; clean, MOT.
