Help required identifying LPG Make
« on: 02 September 2009, 16:41:59 »

Any help identifying this LPG Make would be cool, before I attempt to rip it out ready for re sale or installation.

The Migs a 3.0 MV6 estate (2001), cant see any markings on any of the LPG parts that give anything away.

If it helps, there’s just one red rocker switch between Petrol and Gas, the LPG tank contents appears on the normal fuel gauge. It also seems to be heavily wired into the Migs ECU, so wondering if it’s using that rather than its own ECU?

Thanks in advance, see Pic's below.

Can't see the pics as I'm at work, but based on your description it sounds like a Koltek Necam (I didn't know they were fitted to migs!)

Cheers Chris.

Koltecs where fitted usually at a nearby installer to the dealers before Vaux started doing them themselves, mine was done when new and is a Necam/koltec.

Never seen a Koltec system but I'd guess it was... No other make (that I know of) uses a LPG Distributor like that.

Mind you... I didn't think they did it on the V6 :-/ :-/

Ok, going to add another question to the thread, assuming for now it is a Koltec fit, are they any good?, or should I walk away!  :-/

Looks like Im going to have to rip half the ecu loom appart or swap it.

Assuming it's well maintained then they're OK...

Go to http://www.lpgforum.co.uk and search for either "Vauxhall Factory Fit" or K(c)oltec Necam (You'll have to try various spellings!) and you'll see all the common problems :y :y
