Yes, these can be bought new....

about £45.

You dont say whether you have cruise or not....if not, could be time to think about adding it....

there are guides on how to retrofit in the maint section.

Is yours facelift or prefacelift?

if facelift, just buy a stalk with cruise buttons, and then get it tech2 enabled.

if prefacelift, you need the cruise motor as well, these are often sold with a stalk on ebay, or off the breakers on here. 2nd hand stalks have a tendancy to fail, but as yours is knackered anyway, will put you on fine.

prefacelift then.

So you need the full kit.

why not try a wanted ad int he parts for sale / wanted section.

You will probably get the full kit for less than / about the same price as the dealer wants for just the stalk.

if you dont want to bother...why not try a wanted for a non cruise stalk.
bet there are a lot of those on shelves doing nothing from people who have upgraded  :y

I was very interested to see what this post was about as I had visions of a large bird  :) :) :)

Seriously though, I had mine done by Marky Mark - didn't take him long and works really well. All the wiring was in the car so it just needed plugging in and the throttle connection doing.
