Engine management light on
« on: 26 September 2009, 20:45:45 »

The EML came on yesterday on the cdx. The car is running perfect but the light has been permanently on yesterday and today. As the car seems fine should I still be worried :-/

You need a code reader to ask the car what its problem is!! You can go from there.  :y :y :y

Apparently some 2.2 owners have read codes without a code reader, but i dont remember if they used the paperclip or the pedal trick method to read the codes. Anyone out there remembers?  :-/

Not aware of anyone being able to read Omega 2.2 engine without reader, but if someone knows a way, let us all know :D

Some people have claimed they can pedal trick their 2.2's but I'm not convinced myself.

Mars I'm in Dudley if that's any help and you can get down this way :y

Yes it was the pedal trick as i remember. Somebody posted as much and another member confirmed same.
TB you did comment on it, saying you would try it on Tunnies car. But i'm sure he would have tried it himself i suppose. And would think somebody would have tried it long before now.

Both the the 2.2 diesel and petrol need a code reader, the 2.6 and 3.2 can be pedal tricked ;) :y
