loosing power
« on: 23 October 2009, 06:51:53 »

I have a meega 2.5td (auto) on a x plate which looses power.
power is great until 3&4th gear. when im cruising with or without cruise control on and put the pedal to the metal the engine doesn't seem to want to give the box full power but if I lift my foot off the pedal completely and put foot down again it goes like a bat out off hell also the engine managment light flashes when foot is lifted of throttle.
Ive had the car on the computer and no fault was found.
could it be the cruise control? ive changed key fobs no differance

it could be your auto box not getting the signal when you put your foot down.

If the engine management light is flashing there's something wrong. I suggest checking the engine ECU for fault codes.

EDIT: Look here for details of how to read the codes :http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1189022687
