Sounds like a job for the garage at the next service then.

It's not a difficult job if you have a place where you can get your car up on ramps (& you're phyically able to get under the car  ). There's a couple of dozen M6 bolts holding the pan on, and another couple holding the switch in place on the pan itself.

Cheers for that. Only 2 things stop me doing that though I know sod all about actually repairing cars - only diagnosing things - and my driveway is sloped!

get a Hayne's manual & ask on here what's not in the book ...... you could be asking a lot!      - they're not that bad - honest!
& you'd need a set of Torx sockets.

If you drive down the slope & then onto a set of ramps, your car will stay level-ish!

I could - but that would mean I'd be blocking our road!
