hi looking to buy a 2.5 or 2.6 omega auto can anybody give me some figures on mpg for them either driving easy or thrashing them cheers all replys helpfull.

I go to work about 25 miles away on B roads, up hill and down dale. About 25mpg if driven lightly, about 23 driven more spiritedly and about 21 if I go like a muppet!

My Mrs had a 2.5 and on a run it did 35mpg & about 25 knocking about which I aint seen once in my MV6

Hi ,i,ve not owned the 2.5  but i have a3.0 elite ,99 also 2.6 cdx ,03.Around townany thing from 19mpg to21mpg.Motorway usual motorway driving long journies average speeds 70-75 mph can sometimes return 32-35 mpg not much difference between them.HTH

Our 2.6 auto MV6 has averaged 28.6mpg over the last 1100 miles, and that includes a run to North Wales and Blackpool from Nottingham and then to and fro work at 9 miles town driving each way.....

Not noticed much if any difference between our facelift MV6 and our previous Omega, a 2.0CD auto facelift......Doesnt feel any more expensive to run to be honest, and lovely V6 noise and punch when needed......

2.6 auto MV6

That's pretty much spot on the same as mine.... I do 32 miles per day, equal mix of dual carriageway & A-roads, returns an average of 28. Can go up to 33 and beyond when on a long motorway trip. Mines a 2.6 auto CD.

sat on the A1 from near grantham to the A14 then M11 sat at a steady 70 - 75mph and the trip computer said i was doing between 37 - 40.3 mpg round town getting 23.......... 3.0 MV6 auto
