A proper Tech2 (standalone diags tool) and a cheapo tech2 (cheap chinese device needing a laptop) are miles apart. Hence why one is £30, the other is 100 times that price

TB, mine was £27 delivered and it does programme replacement keys, it also removes the old stored data of the key/s that originally came with the car but are now lost/stolen etc. which is a boon if you have lost your spare/s and are worried about getting your car nicked.

I suspect I know what one that is.

2 things:

a) Illegal copy, no discussion on this site

b) It makes a right mess of programming - it makes a mess of some ECUs (as in renders them unusable). Beware!

Already read & understood from earlier posts TB   but from what little I mentioned in my last post I could have been refering to anything, even the fabled and much maligned £5 egay paperclip!!! 

The key programming gave the game away

Beware of any programming from that device, it really is flakey.  Still, it keeps me busy fixing its messes

but you would still need the car pass if you not have it to do keys e.g locking alarm etc would you not?
