Hi everyone. Had some problems starting my 2.2 over the last few weeks. Finally got the Engine check light to stay on today and Tech 2 gives Camshaft sensor as fault. 
How easy is this to replace? I couldn't find a how to guide.
Can anyone point me in the right direction..

aux belt off, cover off, its in between the cams, at the top.

Take the black eco strip off, and the nut at the bottom between the cams and it comes out

Cheers for that I've got to do the cam cover gasket too so may try and combine the two. Is it possible to replace the sensor from above or will I still need to remove the cambelt cover and aux belt. (spanner novice)

CAm cover has to come off along with aux belt, just do a quick drawing of it on so you know how to replace aux belt.

Easy enough to do

Forgot to add make sure its a genuine sensor pattern ones are s**t

Cambelt cover has to come off, cam cover can stay where it is. But its a good idea to combine to two, check out my guide for the 2.2

Just a further thought though. After reading a few posts on hear about the same symptoms of engine turning over but not starting, most seem to suggest crankshaft sensor and say that may give false reading of camshaft sensor. Should I be looking for any other confirmation before I proceed?  :-/ Advice appreciated thanks.

Camshaft sensor on the 4 pot and crankshaft sensor on the V6.

What he says ^^

One the 4 pots, cam sensors fail, crank sensors rarely fail.

V6, crank sensors always go, Cam sensors never fail
