Bottom Heater Hose
« on: 07 December 2009, 14:41:42 »

Does the bottom  1 of the 2 rubber heater hoses that connect to the martix on bottom drivers side of engine compartment just go straight to the HBV.
The reason I ask is I have a very small drip from the quick push connecter area and might be safer just to replace the entire hose with a new one as if I am pulling it apart don,t want to be doing it again.

It is a Tee piece, straight through goes to the coolant return pipe, the branch goes to the HBV.

Sorry.

Excellent and very usefull picture,AndyB,thanks.

I was hopeing it just went to the hbv as would have been an easy fix then to replace...the connections at the back to coolant return pipe are not as accessable if at all, without a fair bit of extra dismantling.

I will just remove bottom pipe..give it a clean up and the metal pipe from the matrix, and refit my existing hose as don,t want to do major stripping down this time of year and with the weather the way it is.

Again thanks...great picture.
