X30XE vacuum pipe map/plan?
« on: 06 December 2009, 15:39:33 »

Does anyone have a plan or a map of where all the vacuum pipes should go?

Sorry, old habits, Fuel Pressure Regulator. There should be a vacuum hose connected to it as well

The fuel injectors want a constant differential pressure between the fuel line and the inlet tracts so I think the regulator has a direct line to the inlet manifold.

I had my inlet manifold off a few weeks ago to change the thermostate but I cannot remember where the fpr vacuum pipe connects to  :-/

I think it is probably the 8mm flexible rubber hose that clips onto the cable tray on the passenger side (the one that stops you getting to the spark plugs).

Yes, its the rubber hose that comes from the main feed pipe to the idle control valve....unlike some cars, its not at true manifold vac.

Does anyone know the proper name for the vac operate valve that has an electronic plug at one end and then a vac feed pipe to it from the back of the engine and the a vac pipe to the diaphragm valve that actually moves the Multiram flap.  This isn't working not matter what way round I have the hoses to it so I am assuming that the valave is not working
