im thinking of having a stainless system made for my 2.5 omega, do i by law have to have cats built in or can i not bother? ive read on an mot site that theyre not a legal requirement provided ur car meets omission levels,as its an ecotech engine is this true?

i think if your car was made with a cat by law this must remain, a normal exhaust can't do what the cat do's

As per the other thread, K reg cars onward legally require a cat.  :y
