« on: 15 December 2009, 17:03:36 »

I was on the motorway this afternoon and went to overtake a volvo and the miggy started to run a bit rough and struggle...Do you reckon it might be the coil pack and ht leads on the way out? Any idea how much they are? thanx folks.... :y

do a paperclip test first off, then check the condition of the plugs and see if any oil in the wells

Look for any other fault codes other than dis pack as a faulty one will not show a code

Assuming a genuine one was used then its unlikely, if some cheap aftermarket part was used, its quite possible

According to the some posts in general questions on of the admins said that actually air or fuel filter can make a big difference. Not sure which one though

It can restrict the fuel flow, and hold back revs, but its slight. When i changed mine, it reved a lot more 'freely' easily getting towards the red line.

I can't see it cutting out  :-/

My old fuel filter was very old AND mounted the wrong way!  :o

I'd be checking the condition of the plugs, and oil in the wells as stated previously

When I changed my plugs there was some oil around them & the bottom of the coil pack, whats that all about.
The old plugs came out VERY easy but could not torque my new ones up to18foot/pounds, got scared! :-?
