I will soon be replacing my noisey mishaped tyres with 4 new ones.  I know there are stacks of brands out there but do you know what Vauxhall fitted to the Omega Elite when it was new?
Mine had Michelin Primacy (CX?) when new. Replaced with Continental Supercontact2. I believe Continental was also OE fitment. Chose Continental as read a review somewhere that said they were good in the wet and quiet. (sorry cannot remember where). My 2002MY 2.2 had Michelin Pilot from new and my 2003 MY 2.2 Pirelli P7. (Now running Nexen CP641, not bad)
I had those Nexens on my old tractor - pretty good for a budget, but tend to let go rather easy in very wet conditions!
Yes, would agree. Bit untidy on the snow last night too.. ;D to use a motorcycling term, "bit of a tank slapper" comes to mind... :o ;D
Good in the dry though.

Only tried my CP641s once in decent snow (last Feb, had to go from Brackley to Reading and back after a 6" dumping of fluffy stuff).  Never really a problem, except struggled to get it back on my drive...

I don't know how much 4 season tyres will wear in the summer on the Omega, but I'm trying out some Hankook OPTIMO 4S H730. They have been great in the snow (combined with 2 paving slabs in the boot!). I've been able to get up the hills in Sheffield with no problems, where others have been stuck.

I thought that having mud and snow rating would help out on the camping fields over the summer.

4 season tyres are quite hard to get hold of in the UK, but www.mytyres.co.uk has them (I would recommend supply only and get them fitted by someone you trust locally)
