ecu change???

been offered a ECU from a 3litre v6 is it worth fitting to my 2.5 v6 and will it make any difference in performance , car running fine at the mo , but was wondering about changing it , any advice please , cheers , jon

cant change ecu on omega. as they are matched to the car and imobilizer. etc.

..and 2.5 and 3.0 ECUs have the same map in anyway, IIRC.

3.0 cams are a useful upgrade but the ECU won't make any difference.

I've just taken 3.0 cams out of my 2.6 and put the originals back in  - gained 4 HP

You did something wrong then or have another issue.....when fitted to Mick Dundess, they gave around 17-18bhp with a buggered exhaust!
