2.5 v6 cd auto 99 model
« on: 28 February 2010, 17:55:16 »

Hi there just bought another omega and noticed a couple of problems you might be able to help me with.
1.juddering under braking quite badly so i changed the discs and pads expecting to cure the problem but no still there. But while changing them noticed the 13mm bolt at top of caliper just turning and not seeming to tighten up.Not sure if its that or suspension.
2.noticed a fuel leak so i though probably the filter as it was on my 2.0 but was amazed to find what looks like filler between the heat shield and the tank. Not good me thinks.will the 2.0 tank fit the 2.5v6 and if not any1 got an idea on the price and how hard to change or even got 1 for sale in the doncaster area?

1. I'm not sure what the bolt is but if it is supposed to be securing either part of the caliper, it might well be the cause of the juddering, but someone will have to confirm what it's for. Does this bolt turn freely on both offside and nearside calipers?
2. Not sure about the 'filler', but I'm not far from Doncaster so if you need help with anything let me know.

I have repleid to your PM, and I don't know of any scrap yards around here. I've never needed to look so there could well be some.

However there is an old 2 litre GLS next to my house right now (not mine!). Who knows... the owner might accept a silly offer! I would have made one if it had been 2.5 or more...
