rear lights

Hiya guys having problems with tail/brake lights .Nearside brakelight was out so changed bulb now have brakelight but no tail light i have checked the power feed from multiplug all is well so should i suspect the bulb holder also other side is doing the same now and again any suggestions cheers

Check all local connections and clean if necessary - including the return (earth) points on the body - they can corrode, showing green on copper parts.
Switch cleaner might work, but physically clean with glass/emery paper is usually best.

staggered pins. possibly bulb now in the wrong way.

just one question are they vauxhall bulbs or a very good quality
1 cheap makes give false alarms
2 they dont last long

replace bulb with a decent item or even better a vaux bulb

Cheers dbr didnt think it was possible but had the bulbs in the wrong way what a muppet  !!!!! :-[
